With the update by AIAG to APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) the Control Plan portion of APQP v.2 was separated to be a stand-alone tool.
Control Plan v.1 is designed to address the growing complexity of manufacturing and to meet the evolving needs of automation, safety, and compliance as well as set the foundation for integrating the QMS requirements into highly automated and autonomous production environments.
